ASCL Policies

1. Terms & Conditions

In this document, the term ASCL refers to Asian School of Cyber Laws.

1. The fees is collected online through NEFT / UPI.

2. The success or failure of an online payment transaction is at the sole discretion of the relevant issuing bank and ASCL assumes no responsibility for any dispute arising therefrom.

3. ASCL shall not be responsible for any fraudulent or disputed transaction.

4. Any dispute relating to an online payment transaction made through this website must be resolved by the payer directly with the relevant bank or issuer. You expressly agree to NOT make ASCL a party to any such dispute.

5. You expressly agree to NOT make ASCL liable for any consequence arising out of any fraudulent or disputed transaction.

6. ASCL reserves the right at any time, without prior notice, to add or vary all or any of these terms and conditions or to replace, wholly or in part this online fee payment facility or to withdraw it completely.

7. By making a Fee Payment over the ASCL website, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions and waive any right to claim ambiguity in these terms and conditions. You agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless ASCL and its respective affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of its respective agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders and employees from and against any injuries, losses, damages, claims, actions, or any liability of any kind resulting from or arising from your or any third party’s use (or misuse) of the Fee Payment facility available over the ASCL website.

8. You acknowledge and agree that all disputes in relation to Fee Payment over the ASCL website shall be subject to Pune (India) jurisdiction.

2. Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. In some ASCL courses, the courseware and reference material is provided in printed form. In such courses, if the admission is cancelled before the courseware / reference material is couriered, Rs 1,000 will be deducted and the balance fee will be refunded within 14 working days. If the admission is cancelled after the courseware / reference material is couriered, 50% of the fee paid will be refunded within 14 working days.

2. In some ASCL courses, the courseware and reference material is provided only in electronic form. In such courses, if the admission is cancelled before the student is provided access to the courseware / reference material, Rs 1,000 will be deducted and the balance fee will be refunded within 14 working days. If the admission is cancelled after access is provided to the courseware / reference material, 50% of the fee paid will be refunded within 14 working days.

3. ASCL reserves the right to amend content, expert, venue and date of a masterclass.

4. ASCL also reserves the right to cancel the masterclass. In case of such a cancellation, participants will be refunded the fee in full.

5. ASCL shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages incurred due to a cancellation.

3. Privacy Policy

1. ASCL collects the following information from applicants: name, postal address, email address, phone number, occupation, gender, date of birth, academic & professional background.

2. This information is used by ASCL to administer the course(s) for which the applicant has enrolled. We do not sell / rent this information to any external agencies.

4. Delivery and Shipping policy

1. In some ASCL courses, the courseware and reference material is provided in printed form. In such courses, depending upon the shipping address, the material is shipped through FedEx or Speed Post, within 14 working days of receipt of fees by us.

2. In some ASCL courses, the courseware and reference material is provided only in electronic form. In such courses, the access to the courseware / reference material is provided within 3 working days of receipt of fees by us.

5. Undertaking

1. ASCL may, at its sole discretion, make inquiry of persons or documents directly or indirectly referenced in this application to verify the accuracy and completeness of the information provided by me. I agree to cooperate in any such investigation by ASCL regarding the information I have provided. I understand that my non-cooperation in such investigation or my providing any information that is fraudulent, misleading or false may result in the refusal of ASCL to issue a credential to me. It may also lead to my being barred from ever holding a ASCL credential.

2. I undertake to inform ASCL, without delay, of matters that can affect my capability to fulfil the certification requirements. I shall comply with the relevant provisions of the certification scheme.

3. I undertake not to release confidential examination materials or participate in fraudulent test-taking practices.

4. I agree to comply with the certification requirements and to supply any information needed for the assessment.

5. In the event of suspension of my certification, I shall refrain from further promotion of the certification while it is suspended. In the event of withdrawal of my certification, I shall refrain from use of all references to a certified status.

6. I shall make claims regarding certification only with respect to the scope for which certification has been granted.

7. I shall not use the certification in such a manner as to bring ASCL into disrepute, and shall not to make any statement regarding the certification, which ASCL considers misleading or unauthorized.

8. I shall discontinue the use of all claims to certification that contain any reference to ASCL or certification upon suspension or withdrawal of certification, and to return any certificates issued by ASCL.

9. I shall not use the certificate in a misleading manner.

10. I understand that any action arising out of any application, examination, certification, etc. conducted by ASCL is subject to the courts of Pune, Maharashtra, India.

I have read and understood the statements above and agree to be legally bound by them.

6. Anti-spam policy

This anti-spam policy applies to all Asian Schools of Cyber Laws (ASCL) websites or websites affiliated to ASCL. ASCL prohibits the use of ASCL websites or services provided through those websites in any manner associated with the transmission, distribution or delivery of any unsolicited bulk or unsolicited commercial e-mail ("Spam").

You may not use any ASCL website or service to send Spam. You also may not deliver Spam or cause Spam to be delivered to any of ASCL's Services or customers. Any email sent by using ASCL services may not:

1. contain invalid or forged headers;
2. contain invalid domains;
3. employ any technique to hide or which causes obfuscation of the source or the transmission path of the email;
4. use other means of misleading addressing;
5. use a third party's domain name, or be relayed from or through a third party's equipment, without permission of the third party;
6. contain false or misleading content;

ASCL also does not authorize the harvesting, mining or collection of e-mail addresses or other information from or through the ASCL services. ASCL does not permit or authorize others to use collect, compile or obtain any information about ASCL’s students, subscribers, visitors or patrons, including but not limited to their e-mail addresses, which are ASCL's confidential and proprietary information.

If ASCL believes that unauthorized or improper use is being made of any of its services, it may, without notice, take such action as it, in its sole discretion, deems appropriate, including blocking messages from a particular internet domain, mail server or IP address. ASCL may immediately terminate any account which it determines, in its sole discretion, is transmitting or is otherwise connected with any e-mail that violates this policy.

Unauthorized use of ASCL services in connection with the transmission of spam, including the transmission of e-mail in violation of this policy, may result in appropriate penalties against the sender and those assisting the sender.
